Mein Blog dreht sich nicht nur um Portrait- und Hochzeitsfotografie und meine Arbeit als Fotografin, sondern ich berichte auch ab und zu aus meinem Privatleben.

Heute feiern wir den Geburtstag einer ganz besonderen Person, die den wohl größten Einfluss auf mein Leben hatte und den „Nummer 1 Paulette Fotografin Fan“: meine Mama.

Als Einzelkind habe ich ein besonders enges Verhältnis zu meiner Mama. Für mich war und ist sie immer die liebste, beste, schönste und stärkste Frau der Welt! Sie hat ein Herz aus Gold, denkt immer an andere, ist hilfsbereit und mitfühlend.

Sie ist nicht die typische Mutter, die einen perfekten Haushalt führt, Unterhosen bügelt und Schweinsbraten kocht. Aber über die Jahre habe ich festgestellt, dass diese unkonventionelle Art für uns genau richtig ist. Wir essen statt Schweinsbraten lieber mal einen Whopper.

Als Teenager gab es auch Zeiten, in denen ich meine Mama etwas uncool empfand. Sie ist jeden Tag mit den Fahrrad an die Arbeit gefahren und wenn ich aus dem Bus gestiegen bin, radelte sie häufig an mir und meinen Freunden vorbei – mit einem türkiesen Sturzhelm auf, in ein lila Regencape gehüllt. Es waren die 90er und grelle Farben waren in – aber das fand Teenage-Pauli dann doch ein wenig peinlich.

Heute bin ich sehr stolz auf sie, dass sie über zehn Jahre lang ihren inneren Schweinehund besiegt hat. Bei Wind und Wetter jeden Tag aufs Rad und dabei galt Sicherheit vor Eitelkeit.

Danke, dass Du immer für mich da bist, mir beistehst, mir soviel hilfst, immer ein offenes Ohr für mich hast und dich so viel um Pepsi (Hundemann) kümmerst.

Ich freue mich drauf einen schönen Tag mit Dir zu verbringen, bei chinesischem Essen, Kuchen mit selbstverständlich viel Sahne werden wir ordentlich feiern.

My Blog is not just about portrait and wedding photography and my work as a photographer, but I also share some private things from time to time.

Today we celebrate the birthday of a very special person who probably has had the biggest impact on my life and who is definitely the “Number One Paulette Fotografin Fan „: my Mama.

As an only child I have a very close relationship with my mother. For me, she has been and always will be  the dearest , best , strongest and most beautiful woman in the world! She has a heart of gold, always thinks of others, is helpful and caring.

My Mama is not the typical mother who runs a perfect household, irons underwear or fixes roast pork. But over the years I have found that this unconventional style is just right for us. Instead of having a roast pork we would rather go have a Whopper.

As a teenager, there were times when I felt my mom was a little uncool. She went to work by bike every day and when I got off the school bus, she often cycled by me and my friends – wearing a teal bicycle helmet, wrapped in a purple raincoat! It was the 90ies and bright colors were fashionable – but teenage-Pauli was a little embarrassed .

Today I am very proud of her that she has defeated her weaker self for over ten years and got on that bike every day no matter what the weather was like – prioritizing safety before vanity.

Thank you. for always being there for me , standing by me , helping me so much , always having an open ear for me and for taking such good care of Pepsi (doggy boy) .

I am happy to spend a wonderful day with you while enjoying Chinese food and cake with lots of whipped cream.
